About This Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Architecture and Urban Design to join our vibrant academic community at the School of Architecture, Design and Planning (ADP) at our beautiful St Lucia campus.

This full-time position is initially being offered on a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the potential for continuation. Key responsibilities will include:
Inspire through teaching - Shape the future of architecture and urban design with engaging, innovative courses, lectures and tutorials that connect theory to real-world practice.
Lead impactful research - Build a strong research profile, publish in top journals, and secure funding to drive change.
Mentor future leaders - Guide and support Honours and Higher Degree by Research students to thrive as the next generation of design innovators.
Engage and connect - Collaborate with colleagues, industry, government and the wider community while contributing to UQ's vibrant academic culture.

About You
- A PhD in Architecture, Urban Design, or a related discipline.
- A growing profile in teaching and research in architecture and urban design.
- A developing reputation and track record of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
- Evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research funding.
- Evidence of a high level of quality teaching at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate level across a variety of settings, including small and large groups.
- Experience in course coordination and contribution to the development and continuous innovation of new programs, curriculum design and course material in the discipline area.
- Technologically proficient with a strong understanding of modern digital tools and platforms relevant to the role.
- A growing record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion.
- Experience in meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with active contributions to external activities.
