Our client is seeking accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners to join their specialised teams in Wagga Wagga and the ACT!
Our client is a large national not-for-profit oragnisation providing counselling, mediation, and support services that strengthen relationships and improve community wellbeing. They work with individuals, families, and communities through a child-focused, trauma-informed lens to ensure safety, inclusion, and positive outcomes.
This role will involve:
- Deliver Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) in line with relevant legislation, regulations, and professional standards.
- Apply a child-focused, trauma-informed and family violence–informed approach to ensure safety and wellbeing.
- Conduct risk and suitability assessments, develop safety plans, and manage cases involving family and domestic violence.
- Facilitate parenting and property mediations, both face-to-face and online using secure platforms.
- Provide information, referrals, and links to support services for individuals and families accessing FDR.
- Maintain accurate digital records, statistics, and reporting requirements.
- Participate in education programs, community consultations, supervision, and case reviews to strengthen practice.
- Actively engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and uphold child-safe and culturally responsive practice.
The requirements for this role include:
- Hold a Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution (or equivalent) with FDRP registration, and have practical experience in mediation, including high-conflict parenting and property matters.
- Skilled in family and domestic violence, trauma-informed practice, grief and loss, crisis intervention, and child development.
- Exceptional communication and rapport-building with children and adults, including online, with proficiency in secure video conferencing tools.
- Actively embrace cultural awareness and diversity, prioritising the safety and wellbeing of children and young people through child-safe practices.
- Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace and perform other duties as required, applying multi-skilling principles.
- Current WWCC (NSW) and WWVP (ACT)

- Full-time and part-time positions available (7, 8, and 9-day fortnights).
- Positions available in Wagga Wagga and the ACT, with flexible start and finish times and hybrid work-from-home arrangements supported.
