The Company

Our client is a leading Australian manufacturing and distribution business with a strong reputation for safety. With operations spanning production, processing, and distribution, they play a key role in supporting major infrastructure, construction, and industrial projects nationwide. They employ thousands across Australia and continue to invest in modern systems, innovation, and their people. This is an opportunity to join a recognised industry leader and hold a critical role within the business.

The Role

As Return to Work Coordinator, you will play a key part in supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees across a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working closely with site leaders, health professionals, and insurers, you’ll be responsible for coordinating injury management and return-to-work programs that help employees recover safely and effectively. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing workers’ compensation claims and ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy.
  • Developing, monitoring, and reviewing individual return-to-work plans in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Providing guidance and support to injured employees, supervisors, and managers throughout the recovery process.
  • Liaising with medical providers, rehabilitation specialists, and insurers to ensure timely and effective case management.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, reporting, and data to support continuous improvement in injury management.
  • Supporting early intervention strategies to reduce lost time injuries and improve recovery outcomes.
  • Partnering with site leaders to build awareness of RTW processes and responsibilities.
  • Contributing to health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives across the site.
  • Assisting in the development of policies, procedures, and training relating to injury management and RTW.

Your Background

In order to be successful in this role, you will:

  • Experience in return-to-work coordination, workers’ compensation, or occupational rehabilitation (manufacturing or industrial experience highly regarded).
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and injury management best practice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively with employees, managers, medical providers, and insurers.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and promoting safe and sustainable work practices.
  • Relevant qualifications in health, safety, rehabilitation, or a related field (or working towards).

This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can confidently engage with diverse stakeholders, and is motivated by making a real difference to people’s health and wellbeing.

What's on Offer?

  • Join a well-respected national business with a strong safety culture and a genuine commitment to supporting its people.
  • Be part of a collaborative environment where your contribution is valued, and where you’ll have the scope to shape how return-to-work and wellbeing programs are delivered.
  • The chance to make a real difference to employee outcomes and workplace culture.
  • Additional employee benefits
  • Long-term career opportunities within a large, growing organisation
