Job description

Our company is looking for a delivery/Pump Truck driver with a general understanding of building/rental equipment. Smart Hire is an equipment hire business that services the construction industry, and are looking for a good "all rounder" employee who can help with a range of tasks. Our business deals with 200+ different variations of equipment, including bobcats, mini loaders, excavators and forklifts, as well as portable toilets, site buildings, temp fencing and much, much more.

Medium rigid (MR) driving licence is required for this position.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with good people skills and a "can do" attitude. The job hours are 7 am- 5 pm from Monday- Friday. The day-to-day expectations of the employee can be viewed below under "roles". On occasion, the employee will be asked to perform deliveries, basic servicing of machines, cleaning and product purchases.

Roles:

Deliver and pick up of Hire Equipment

Servicing the portable toilets/toilet blocks using the vacuum pump trucks

Cleaning of Hire Equipment including Portable toilets

Servicing and Maintenance of Hire Equipment

Loading and Unloading vehicles and trucks

Customer service

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, especially regarding sewage services.

Route Planning: Determine the most efficient routes for deliveries.

General Skills Required:

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Mature attitude

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of equipment rental industry standards.

Familiarity with health and safety regulations for sewage services.

Problem-solving skills, especially in customer service.

Time management to efficiently schedule services and rentals.

Adaptability to handle unexpected challenges or shifts in bookings
