Brighton Primary School and Centre of Deaf Education, situated in the seaside suburb of Brighton is seeking a passionate and experienced OSHC Director to lead our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) and Vacation Care program. This is a full time permanent / ongoing position, commencing in October /November 2025 (exact start date negotiable).

You will be supported by an Assistant Director, an Admin Officer and the school leadership team to lead our well respected OSHC program.
Role Details
As OSHC Director, you will be responsible for:
· Designing and implementing recreational activities.
· Mentoring and supporting staff.
· Managing administration, budgets, and compliance with National Quality Standards.
· Collaborating with families and stakeholders to foster an inclusive, positive environment that supports children and educators to thrive
OSHC and Vacation Care Operating Hours
Capacity: Up to 120 children
· OSHC: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 8:30am and 3:10 pm – 6:30pm
· Vacation Care: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-6:30am
Key Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
· A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their individual needs
· Proven experience in a leadership role in an educational setting
· Strong organisational and time management skills to effectively oversee the day today administration of the OSHC service
· The ability to mentor and support educators, fostering a collaborative team culture that strive for excellence.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, in partnership with families and with school staff
· Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place.
· Confidence in designing an education care program.
· Sound knowledge of relevant policies, Work Health and Safety (WHS), and Child Protection obligations.
Qualifications and Training
We are looking for someone who holds:
· An approved qualification for working with children over preschool age in South Australia, as listed on the ACECQA website.
· A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012)
· A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
· Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) training
