Your New Role
As an Asset Management Specialist, you’ll contribute to shaping Goulburn Valley Water’s tactical asset plans for a new regulatory and pricing submission cycle. You’ll be responsible for optimising asset lifecycles, developing business cases, and conceptualising future asset needs across water and sewer infrastructure to align and deliver against GVW Strategy 2035.
Key responsibilities include:
Optimise and review asset performance across GVW
Develop and implement asset management strategies and plans
Prepare business cases and support long-term capital investment decisions
Engage with stakeholders to manage asset risk and compliance
Support maintenance and asset replacement programs
What you’ll need to succeed
Goulburn Valley Water is open to candidates from diverse backgrounds – you don’t need to be an engineer! If you come from economics, mining, electricity, your experience is highly valued.
Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical) or Economics (or equivalent)
Experience in asset management, risk or quality management
Strong knowledge of asset management standards (e.g. ISO5500X, GFMAM, AMAF)
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Full working rights in Australia and a current driver’s licence
