The Whiz Kidz group are family owned and operated childcare centres across NSW and VIC. Our owners are two sisters, both with young children, who have a passion for quality childcare and early education. About the position:

We are looking for a passionate, invested and ambitious Early Childhood Teacher to support our Preschool room with up to 16, 3 year olds per day.

Our services focus on play-based learning, with an emphasis on both structured and spontaneous daily activities and routines. We value the importance of children’s development in the early years and endeavour to support them to become confident and involved learners, to build a strong sense of identity and wellbeing and to become connected with and contribute to their world.

As our ECT, a few of your responsibilities would include:

✔️Leading reflective discussions about practice and implementing the learning framework

✔️Developing, planning and implementing quality educational programs.

✔️Assisting children with their daily routines & supporting them in their learning.

✔️Creating a stimulating environment to foster & support children's development.

✔️Developing open communication channels with staff, children and families of the centre.

✔️Contributing to the effective operation of the workplace by supporting colleagues, sharing ideas and information, & working as a team player.

This is a fulltime position working Monday to Friday 38 hours/week. Our service operates Monday to Friday 7am-6.30pm your flexible availability within those hours will be highly desired.

Successful applicants must:

Hold a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA recognised).

Hold a current First Aid and Asthma/Anaphylaxis Certificate, and Working with Children's Check.

Have a strong, confident and motivated personality, with an ambition to provide education and care standards of excellence.

Have a strong understanding of the Children's Services Regulations, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)

Possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Be approachable and well respected

Be knowledgeable about theories, pedagogy and the relevant learning frameworks

Be skilled at supporting educators of varying abilities and learning styles
