About the role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Carpenter to join our growing construction team at Atkinson Building and Construction in Hobart, Tasmania. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for carrying out a range of carpentry and construction tasks on construction sites to the highest standards.

We are a small family ran residential building company specialising in new homes, renovations and extensions

What you'll be doing

1. Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications to determine project requirements

Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the specified quality standards

Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate projects and resolve any issues that arise

Maintain a clean and organised work area

What we're looking for

Formal carpentry qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Carpentry)

Hands-on carpentry experience in a construction environment

Proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools

Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Commitment to working safely and following all relevant procedures and regulations

Good communication and teamwork skills
