A bit about the role

Join the dynamic team at Bunjil Place and help bring events to life across Casey’s vibrant arts and cultural precincts.

As a Production Officer, you’ll play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality technical and operational support for performances, exhibitions, and community events. From setting up lighting and audio systems to supporting live shows and maintaining equipment, you’ll be at the heart of creating memorable experiences for our community.

This role is perfect for someone with practical technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for the arts.

What you’ll deliver

  • Provide hands-on technical support for events, including setup, operation, and pack down of lighting, audio, and AV equipment.
  • Operate and maintain production systems to ensure optimal performance during live performances and functions.
  • Assist with event logistics, including bump-in and bump-out activities, while maintaining venue standards.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and minor repairs to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to the day-to-day operations of arts and function spaces across City of Casey venues.

What you’ll bring

  • Practical experience or post-trade qualification in technical production (lighting, audio, AV) or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues in live event environments.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and engage with clients and performers.
  • A proactive and safety-conscious approach, with knowledge of OH&S practices and risk management.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
