About Role
The Quality and Training Specialist reports to the Manager Business Improvement and Compliance and supports program compliance by auditing plan quality, implementing best practices, ensuring staff meet training requirements, and providing expertise in program quality. They monitor outcomes, facilitate new employee training in the LAC program, and help the team meet contractual quality targets. The role also involves training and mentoring Team Leaders and LACs to drive continuous quality improvement and collaborating with program staff to promote ongoing quality and compliance strategies.
About You
The role involves supporting and implementing strategies to drive strong quality performance across the LAC program by conducting formal and informal audits and providing guidance to Team Leaders and LACs throughout the process. It includes managing and tracking quality and training data to help leaders and frontline staff meet or exceed KPIs, using audit results to identify improvement areas, highlight trends, and create efficiencies. Collaboration with the NDIA and SSI is essential to coordinate and deliver mandatory training while addressing staff development needs. The specialist also contributes to the development and enhancement of policies and procedures focused on best practices and compliance, such as complaints management, conflict of interest, critical incident management, and participant satisfaction. Supporting the Manager Business Improvement and Compliance, the role ensures alignment with continuous improvement initiatives, contractual obligations, and quality standards. Additionally, it involves working with program leaders and staff to review quality performance, identify targeted improvements, and monitor progress through action plans.

Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in human services, community services, quality assurance, adult learning/education, training or other related qualifications
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated experience in identifying learning needs and developing training schedules.
- Strong experience in developing and delivering high quality plans through the PITC program.
- Experience in developing and evaluating training content and other learning resources.
- Experience in providing quality coaching and mentoring to staff or peers.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering on quality assurance targets or outcomes.
- Understanding or experience of the NDIS LAC program contractual Quality and KPI requirements would be an advantage
