About your new role:
As the Team Leader Accounts Payable, you will provide hands-on leadership and operational oversight to a team responsible for processing supplier payment requests. Your role is vital in ensuring payments are managed efficiently and in compliance with internal policies and external legislation, including the ANTS (Goods & Services Tax) Act 2000 and the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act.

You will also act as a key contact point for resolving complex queries, supporting internal and external stakeholders, and driving improvements in accounts payable practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, support, and guide Accounts Payable and purchasing requisitioners.

Prioritise and monitor invoice workflows to ensure efficient processing through the invoice management system.

Ensure compliance with all applicable procedures, policies, and legislative requirements.

Maintain system integrity and proactively address audit recommendations.

Oversee GRIR (Goods Receipt Invoice Receipt) reporting and drive best-practice financial operations.

Support officer training and development through procedure reviews and performance monitoring.

Maintain strict information security and confidentiality across all activities.

Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the procure-to-pay process.

Communicate service issues and performance updates to the Supervisor – Accounts Payable.

Manage and balance workloads in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Proven leadership experience in a financial services or accounts payable setting.

Strong knowledge of relevant financial legislation and regulatory frameworks.

A proactive mindset, with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to service excellence.
