The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated accounting professional to join a growing Family Office in a pivotal financial role. This is ideal for someone looking to make their first move from professional services, particularly from business services, tax advisory, or private clients divisions, and apply their expertise in a highly dynamic, hands-on environment. The Family Office oversees a sophisticated and diverse portfolio of assets across property, operating businesses, and listed and private investments. The role will work closely with entrepreneurial and highly respected stakeholders who value trusted financial insight and strategic thinking. This is a unique chance to step into a highly visible role, gain broad exposure across diverse asset classes, and over time have a real impact on the Family Office’s operations and strategy.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Director your key responsibilities will include the following:

• Manage group structure diagrams and assist with treasury management, including foreign currency and group cash flow management
• Collaborate with the Director on monthly reporting and financial reconciliation tasks
• Prepare and ensure accuracy in financial statements for effective management reporting and reconciliations
• Manage inter-entity transactions, Division 7A loans, and Unpaid Trust Entitlements
• Reconcile and manage financial accounts for all entities within the group on a monthly basis
• Work with internal teams to maintain accurate general ledger data, supporting both management and statutory reporting requirements
• Oversee BAS, payroll tax, and other statutory lodgements

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA qualified with 8+ years experience, ideally at senior manager level in Big 4 or mid-tier firms.
• Experienced in HNW family groups, including Division 7A loans, offshore investments, and tax consolidation.
• Strong expertise in legal structures, tax implications, and complex reconciliations.
• Skilled in managing multi-entity financial structures and presenting to Boards and senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in Excel, with interest in Power BI and modern reporting tools.
• Clear, confident communicator, able to simplify complex financial information.
• Curious, proactive, and commercially minded, ready to make an impact.
