We are looking for a dental assistant who helps create exceptional patient care—bringing a friendly, welcoming presence, proactive problem-solving, and strong teamwork skills.

📍 Work Locations

This role is based primarily at Berwick Orthodontic Specialists, with occasional coverage required at our two sister clinics, South Yarra Orthodontics and Hawthorn Orthodontics.

· Primary location: Berwick – your main clinic (just minutes from Berwick Train Station; street parking available)

· Secondary clinics: Hawthorn and South Yarra – occasional travel required (e.g. to cover annual leave or staff absence)

About You:

· A Certificate III or IV in dental assisting will be highly regarded

· You’re great at building rapport with both children and adults

· You have experience looking after customers on the phone and in person

· Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication

· Be able to work autonomously

· Punctual and reliable

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide chairside assistance to our orthodontists and oral health therapists (including note-taking and providing instructions to patients).

· Perform occasional reception duties when needed - answering phones, scheduling appointments, taking payments, greeting patients, and managing the front desk

· Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols

· Travel between clinics occasionally to cover absences or annual leave

The Finer Details

· The role is 4 or 5 days per week (negotiable)

· 8.15am until 5.30pm with a 10 minute morning tea break and a 1 hour lunch break

· Salary: Negotiable based on skills and experience

· Immediate start available
