HarperLloyd Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading Australian law firm to find a highly organised and proactive Legal Assistant to support their top-tier Construction & Projects team in Melbourne.

This position offers a great mix of client interaction, legal admin, and project coordination. It's ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being involved in interesting, high-profile matters.
Law students in their first year of study are also encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drafting and formatting high-quality legal correspondence and documentation
- Liaising with clients, lawyers, and stakeholders via phone and email
- Managing time entry, billing, and monthly invoicing processes
- Opening and closing matters, and preparing status and billing reports
- Coordinating diaries, meetings, and travel for fee earners
- Providing general administrative and team support as required
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant or Executive Assistant in private practice
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- Highly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work proactively and collaboratively within a team
- Experience with Aderant Expert or similar legal billing software (advantageous)
