To support this journey, we’re looking for a driven and experienced Finance Manager who wants to grow with the business and make a tangible impact on how we scale.
The Role
This is a newly created, hands-on role where you’ll oversee the financial operations of a fast-growing consulting engineering practice. You’ll partner closely with our National Commercial Director and senior leadership to strengthen our financial capability, improve systems, and support informed decision-making across regions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Oversee all financial systems, transactions, and reporting processes across all Innovis regions.
Manage end-of-month close, reconciliations, BAS, GST, PAYG and payroll processes.
Maintain and improve cashflow models and board reporting.
Oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring smooth project-related cashflow.
Ensure compliance, documentation, and internal controls are up to date.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
Liaise with external accountants and payroll providers across multiple jurisdictions.
Support budgeting, rolling forecasts, KPIs, and dashboard reporting.
Assist with ERP system rollout and help project leads monitor project financials.
Mentor and guide junior finance/admin staff.
What We’re Looking For
CA/CPA qualified (required).
At least 5+ years’ experience in a finance or accounting leadership role.
Strong understanding of project-based businesses and high-volume transactional environments.
Experience in consulting or professional services (engineering, architecture, construction, or similar) strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in leading or supporting ERP system rollouts
Familiarity with financial/project management platforms such as Total Synergy or Deltek Vantagepoint (desirable).
Proficiency with Power BI or similar business intelligence/reporting tools.
High proficiency in Xero (or comparable accounting systems).
Excellent communicator, able to collaborate across technical and commercial teams.
A proactive, hands-on operator who is equally comfortable managing details and contributing to strategy.
