Edward Mann is recruiting for an Account Executive on behalf of a fast-paced, venture-backed startup that is growing rapidly and building innovative software solutions within education sector. The role is paying up to 100K base (160k ~ OTE potential) + super + other benefits.

It will be a challenging role that will give you full exposure & great autonomy in developing sales strategies that will supercharge the business’ growth over the coming years. You will need to be agile, adaptable, and able to build & foster strong relationships with key stakeholders.

About the Role

As an Account Executive (AE) you’ll be a crucial part of the sales team as the business continues to grow. The role will be focused on winning new business to help expand our impact in the education sector, selling a best-in-class solution.

You’ll run the end-to-end sales process from outbound prospecting and occasional territory visits, to closing deals with new schools and educational organisations. Your pipeline will come from a mix of self-sourced leads and SDR booked discovery calls.

Proactive outreach to potential new customers (Schools), using data and insights to help guide a targeted approach.

Conduct engaging Discovery Calls to understand specific challenges that schools face and build a business case that highlights the value of our product as the best solution.

Deliver compelling product Demos that showcase the value of our extracurricular management platform in addressing individual client needs.

Confidently guide key decision-makers through the buying process, balancing client requirements with strategic business goals to negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes.

Build and maintain trusted relationships by showcasing the value proposition of our platform, and foster partnerships beyond initial sales.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Customer Success, Marketing) to provide insights from the field that enhance our product and service offerings.

Stay across market trends to incorporate these insights into client conversations to drive meaningful change.

Contribute to our improvement by participating in team initiatives like strategic planning, sales training, and brainstorming to refine our strategies.

Confidently and professionally represent the brand at industry events, expo’s, conferences and during onsite visits.

Ability to travel interstate, approximately twice per quarter, for occasional face to face meetings with prospects and/or to attend events.

Your Skills and Experience

At least 2 years of prior sales experience – Sales within Software/technology business will be highly regarded (SaaS)

Foundational knowledge of the education space, particularly K-12

An outstanding communicator, both written (especially email) and verbal, with the ability to relate to others

Comfortable with cold outreach and picking up the phone

You are highly organised, self-motivated, and have a reasonable level of technical proficiency
