About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Hook Lift and Front Lift Operator to join our waste and recycling team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of hook lift and front lift trucks, ensuring timely collection, transportation, and disposal of waste and recyclables.

Key Responsibilities

Operate hook lift and front lift trucks to collect and transport waste and recyclable materials from customer sites.

Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on vehicles to ensure safe operation.

Secure, load, and unload bins in compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

Deliver excellent customer service when collecting from or interacting with clients.

Follow all road safety, workplace health and safety, and environmental regulations.

Complete all required paperwork and logbooks accurately and on time.

Report any incidents, defects, or hazards promptly to management.

Requirements

Minimum 6 months experience operating hook lift and/or front lift trucks in the waste or recycling industry.

Valid HR (Heavy Rigid) licence.

Good knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.

Strong focus on safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks when required.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Desirable

Experience in waste management or recycling operations.

White Card or relevant safety certifications.

Understanding of environmentally responsible waste disposal practices.
