Electrician – Industrial

📍 Sydney & Illawarra Region | Full-Time | Ongoing Training | Secure, Long-Term Role

Auspower HVPS is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Electrician to join our dedicated team. Whether you’re experienced or just looking to grow your skills in a supportive, hands-on environment — we want to hear from you!

This is a hands-on role where you'll contribute to Electrical Installations across industrial sites, substations, and major infrastructure projects. If you’re ready for a secure role we’ll give you the tools and training to thrive.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing – Day to Day

You’ll work closely with project managers, supervisors, and other electricians on:

Industrial and commercial switchboard assembly – building complex boards to spec in our facility

Installation and commissioning of electrical systems on large-scale sites such as substations, factories, and infrastructure projects

Busbar fabrication and custom modifications as per engineered drawings

On-site power distribution work – pulling cables, installing trays/conduits, and terminating

Scheduled outage and maintenance work – supporting planned upgrades or repairs

Fault finding and electrical diagnostics on industrial equipment and switchboards

Maintaining high safety standards, participating in daily pre-starts and following SWMS

✅ What You’ll Bring

A strong interest in industrial and infrastructure electrical work

Eagerness to learn new skills, grow and contribute to the success of the projects

A proactive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills

Prior experience building or wiring switchboards (preferred but not essential)

Confidence interpreting electrical schematics and layout drawings

Familiarity with tools and methods used in industrial cable runs, glanding, and terminations

A team-focused attitude and willingness to work on site or in the workshop

Your own set of basic hand tools (power tools supplied)

📄 Required Qualifications

NSW Electrical Licence

Valid Driver’s Licence

White Card

LVR/CPR Certificate
