At JT Electrical & Trade, we’re on the lookout for a motivated, licensed electrician to join our family-run crew in Sydney.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trusted with responsibility, rewarded for great work, and offered opportunities for long-term growth. With direct mentorship and training from the owner, you’ll have the chance to develop into a senior or leadership role as the business expands.

What you’ll get:

What your days will look like:

A mix of residential or commercial maintenance, installs, and upgrades – no two jobs are the same

Running jobs independently and owning your work from start to finish

Fault finding and problem-solving to keep things running smoothly

Communicating clearly with clients – explaining issues, solutions, and work undertaken

Representing the business with a clean, professional presentation at all times

Staying connected with the owner and supported in the field, without the red tape

We’re not a big corporate electrical firm, we’re a family-run business with 45+ years of knowledge & experience passed from generation to generation. At JT Electrical & Trade, we pride ourselves on delivering quality work with professionalism, reliability and good humour.

Our specialty is residential & commercial maintenance and installations across Sydney, servicing real estate companies, builders/renovators and home-owners. We’re growing steadily, and we’re looking for the right electrician to grow with us.

What we’re looking for:

Certificate III in Electrotechnology

Valid NSW Electrical Licence, NSW Driver’s Licence & White Card

Fundamental electrical knowledge with strong understanding of Australian Standards & safe working practices

Ability to fault-find, problem-solve, and deliver quality installs & maintenance in the residential sector

Great communication and people skills

Clean, professional presentation

A good work attitude

Eager to learn & not afraid to ask questions

This role would suit someone who has:

Proven experience as an Electrical Apprentice or Licensed Electrician

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated sales ability and a passion for identifying and pursuing opportunities

Strong career ambitions and seeks to upskill their knowledge in the long-term

A positive, proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
