The Role:

If you are looking to gain experience within the Local Government sector and believe you can work safely as part of a great team within the community, this could be a great opportunity. Our client is a Local Government division SOR and are currently seeking a qualified Mechanic to join their team to assist in routine and scheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs on their Fleet vehicles or machinery by diagnosing faults, replacing worn parts, and performing scheduled maintenance like oil changes, brake pads and wheel bearings. Having previous experience in the use of computerized diagnostic tools, fault diagnosis, technical manuals, and various hand and power tools to identify issues and ensure optimal performance is a high advantage.

Criteria:

• Valid driver's licence
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology & Motor Vehicle repairers Certificate
• Previous Experience in similar roles (Highly Desirable)
• White Card
• Strong understanding of both mechanical and electronic systems
• Good manual dexterity and physical stamina to work with tools and in various positions.
• Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current National Police Clearance - Clean record
• Pass a Drug & Alcohol Screen Test
• Role is Casual/ Temporary with potential to lead to Permanent- starting Early November 2025
