We currently have an opportunity for a Domestic and Personal Care Assistant to join our Vaucluse Gardens site in Hobart on a casual basis.

About the role

Domestic and Personal Care Assistants support our residents to maintain their independence and improve their quality of life by providing care and domestic support in our resident units.

Tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Clean common areas, resident units and external clients’ residences as directed
• Support and assist residents or external clients with domestic support, personal care, assistance with transport and mobility as per their Care Plan

About you

We’re seeking candidates who are reliable and caring, with a courteous, pleasant and positive attitude. Successful candidates will also have:

• Previous personal care and domestic assistant experience
• Experience working within an aged care environment desirable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail
• Good command of the English language and ability to communicate with coworkers and residents
• Physical fitness to undertake the duties of the role
• Flexible and positive attitude to working within a dynamic and constantly evolving work environment
• A minimum of a Cert III in Aged Care or Individual Support
