Treescape is a leading Vegetation Management company, specialising in powerline vegetation control and the management of public and commercial green assets.

We currently have a unique vacancy for an Operations Manager based in Rockhampton, Qld.

The Operations Manager provides senior leadership and strategic direction to Treescape’s regional operations. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence across vegetation management projects, delivering high-quality service to clients, and fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Relocation support will be provided to the right candidate with a relocation incentive between $2,500 - $3,500

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage field operations across utility, government, and civil vegetation management contracts.

Drive performance targets for safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.

Provide guidance and mentoring to field leadership and operational staff.

Oversee the planning and delivery of works to ensure compliance with contract timelines and client expectations.

Promote and enforce safety policies and risk mitigation strategies across all operational sites.

Ensure plant, equipment, and tools are maintained and utilised efficiently.

Manage reporting and documentation processes including job costing, incident reporting, and client account management.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders including HSEQ, Compliance, and finance teams.

Contribute to proposal development, contract reviews, and business growth strategies.

Monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are achieved across projects.

Timely and accurate reporting to Regional Manager and support teams.

Qualifications and Skills

Current Australian driver’s license (mandatory).

Proven leadership experience in utilities, arboriculture, or vegetation management.

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

This role involves a mix of office and field-based duties. Candidates must be able to perform occasional lifting, walking/standing, and working around machinery in outdoor environments.
