About the Opportunities

We are seeking experienced ICT and Cyber Security professionals to join a high-performance technical team working on complex, mission-critical systems in Canberra.

Engagement models: Both Contract and Full-Time Employment (FTE) options are available.

Clearance: Candidates must hold an active NV2 Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain NV2.

Roles available:

Systems Solution Designers (Hardware, Software & Integration)

Cyber Security Specialists

Test & Evaluation Engineers

DevSecOps / Tier 3 Support Engineers

You will work with a diverse team of specialists to design, secure, integrate, and support cutting-edge ICT capabilities in a highly technical and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the role, you may be involved in:

Designing, developing, and integrating software and hardware systems.

Implementing and managing secure infrastructure in virtualised and containerised environments.

Cyber security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and risk assessments.

Splunk and SIEM engineering, configuration, and monitoring.

Supporting IRAP assessments and aligning systems to cyber security standards.

Test planning, execution, and evaluation of system performance.

Managing product lifecycle, from requirements through to delivery and sustainment.

Producing technical and non-technical documentation.

Working within Agile/DevOps delivery frameworks.

Skills & Experience

Essential (varies by role):

Tertiary qualifications in ICT, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Strong Linux administration and automation experience.

Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Chef).

Experience with container platforms (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes).

CI/CD tools experience (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo).

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Hands-on skills with Splunk and other SIEM platforms.

Desirable:

Cyber security certifications (e.g., CompTIA CySA+, GIAC, EC-Council).

Experience with Hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V).

Knowledge of cyber operations, ICT governance frameworks, and IRAP.

Test & Evaluation or Verification & Validation experience.

Experience in high-security or air-gapped environments.

Cloud expertise (Azure, AWS) and related certifications.

Hybrid cloud architectures and migration project experience.

Familiarity with cloud-native services, security controls, and cost optimisation.
