About the Role:

We now have an opportunity for a Quality & Food Safety Systems Manager to lead the development and execution of our quality and food safety strategy across Australia & Globally.

You’ll ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, customer standards, and internal policies—while fostering a culture of food safety, quality excellence, and operational integrity.

This role plays a key part in shaping global initiatives. You’ll drive the creation of enterprise-wide strategies, standards, and performance metrics, and lead continuous improvement efforts—including digital transformation—to elevate performance and ensure alignment across regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and lead the national laboratory strategic direction, including innovation initiatives and process improvements.

Drive automation and technology adoption to enhance efficiency and expand testing capabilities.

Manage laboratory budgets, capital projects, and equipment procurement.

Ensure compliance with NATA accreditation standards (ISO/IEC 17025) and oversee audits and assessments.

Maintain and improve the Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS), including method validation and documentation.

Lead risk management practices, including hazard identification, incident investigations, and safety audits.

Provide technical leadership in analytical chemistry and microbiology, supporting method development and troubleshooting.

Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, QA, and Production on technical investigations and product development.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in food science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field

10+ years’ experience in Quality and Food Safety roles within food, beverage, or FMCG industries, including at least 3 years in leadership role

HACCP, FSSC/ISO 22000 Lead Auditor

Strategic thinking with strong execution and stakeholder influence

In-depth knowledge of international regulatory environments and food safety standards

Demonstrated ability to drive digital transformation and process automation in quality

Strong leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Data-driven, analytical, and KPI-focused mindset

Excellent written and verbal communication; fluent in English (additional languages a plus)
