About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Diploma Room Leader to join our team at Pumpkin Long Day Care Centre in Matraville, NSW. As the Diploma Room Leader, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and educational experiences for children aged 3-5 years. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our centre, while leading a dedicated team of educators.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the daily operations of the diploma room, ensuring a stimulating and nurturing environment for children

Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework

Maintain strong relationships with families, fostering open communication and partnership

Mentor and support a team of diploma-qualified educators, providing guidance and professional development opportunities

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation, including maintaining accurate documentation and records

Collaborate with the Centre Director and other team members to continuously improve the quality of care and education provided

What we're looking for

A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, leading a team of early childhood educators

Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and the ability to embed it into daily practice

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

A deep understanding of child development and the ability to create engaging learning environments

Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and support a team of educators

Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for the early childhood education sector
