We are a large marine dealership based in Bunbury, Western Australia, family owned and operated business, established for nearly 50 years.

With large boat display yards both inside and outside, with new and used boats, outboard motors and Waverunners, a large retail store selling all the latest marine electronics, safety gear and boating accessories, an extensive spare parts department and an airconditioned marine workshop. Our workshop is capable of complex fit outs, mechanical servicing and repairs on outboards, inboards and Waverunners. About the roles available

Mechanic: We are seeking a qualified mechanic to join our Workshop team.

You will be required to complete services and repairs to outboards and jetskis, as well as other maintenance work.

You will be required to install new and used outboards, steering systems, complete electrical wiring and fit other accessories.

Marine experience is essential for this role.

Full time hours

The job offered is on a Full Time basis with 4 weeks annual leave.

Full Time Hours: Monday to Friday 8am til 5pm

Skills and experience

We will give preference to those who are trained in Yamaha outboards and or Yamaha Waverunners, but will also consider those who have been trained on other brands of outboards or jet skis, those with a mechanical or electrical trade or certificate.

Necessary requirements are:

A current Australian drivers license

The ability to obtain a current police clearance certificate

Copies of mechanical qualification certificates

Good handwriting skills

Good communication and organisational skills including time management

Neat and tidy work, thorough completion of tasks

Problem solving skills

Skippers ticket (can be gained after employment)

Forklift ticket (can be gained after employment)

Boating experience and knowledge is essential

12v competencies desired but not essential

Salary

Salary is negotiable based on your experience.

Training

Further training will be provided, and you will be sent to offsite courses when available (some will be held interstate, some will be held in Perth). Online training is available, and support from the rest of the workshop team is given.
