Looking for:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic (General) to join our growing team at D'Souza Automotive. As a Motor Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional mechanical services to our customers. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering top-notch service to our clients.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostics and identify faults and defects in vehicles.

Repair, service, and maintain a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Conduct regular maintenance checks and services, including oil changes, brake checks, tire rotations, and electrical system repairs.

Install and replace parts and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Diagnose and resolve engine management system issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Provide customers with detailed explanations of vehicle issues and required repairs.

Ensure all work is completed efficiently, in compliance with safety standards, and within the specified timeframes.

Keep detailed records of repairs, services, and inspections performed on each vehicle.

Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

Provide technical advice and recommendations to customers on the maintenance and care of their vehicles.

Ensure that workshop equipment and tools are maintained and used safely.

Adhere to workplace health and safety guidelines at all times.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of jobs and customer satisfaction.

Skills and Attributes:

Completed an apprenticeship or equivalent training in automotive mechanics.

Proven experience of 1-2 years as a Motor Mechanic or in a similar role.

Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools.

Sound knowledge of vehicle repair techniques, systems, and components.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Current Australian driver’s license.

Certificate III or IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology (or equivalent) preferred.

Job Type & Salary:

This is a full-time permanent position.

The base salary will be 75,000-85,000 plus superannuation.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work based on business needs.
