About the role
As the Coordinator Parks Maintenance, you will manage a skilled team responsible for maintaining a wide range of park assets including footpaths, lighting, playgrounds, seawalls, irrigation systems, and recreational facilities. You’ll work closely with the Parks and Streetscape unit to deliver high-quality service, support strategic planning and capital works.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate maintenance of hard infrastructure in parks and open spaces.
- Oversee inspections, audits, and repairs of assets including playgrounds, pathways, lighting, and waterplay parks.
- Collaborate on asset management plans and provide input on design development.
- Manage contractors and consultants to ensure service delivery standards are met.
- Promote a culture of safety, diversity, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies.
- Enhance digital capability and service delivery through technology.

Remuneration
$105,050.92 - $116,577.24 + Civil Liability Allowance (if applicable) + Access to Motor Vehicle Lease Back + 12% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant equivalent industry experience in the maintenance of hard infrastructure in parks and open space
- Experience leading and managing a customer-focused team
- Demonstrated financial and budget management, procurement, and contract management experience
- Experience in contract administration and contractor supervision
- Knowledge of and commitment to equity and diversity principles, work health and safety, ethical practice and acting with probity at all times
- Understanding of or experience with the Australian Business Excellence framework or experience in development and execution of improvement initiatives or continuous improvement
- Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence
