The Role
We are looking for a dynamic Program Manager – Financial Wellbeing & Emergency Relief to lead the delivery of Emergency Relief services across Queensland that provide immediate crisis support to vulnerable individual and families while also building their capacity for long-term financial wellbeing and stability.
This role will operate under the general direction of the State Manager and is central to supporting our member-led model, working closely with members across 8 regions and engaging with Conferences throughout all 18 SA4 regions.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Strategic Program Leadership and Grant Management
- Conference and Membership Engagement
- Service Delivery and SA4 Regional Support
- Program Management and Operations
- Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships
- Compliance and Quality Assurance
This is a Permanent, Full-time position (38 hours per week) based in our State Administration Office in South Brisbane. Some evening and weekend work may be required, and also regular local and intra-state travel.
What you’ll bring
- Specific qualification in a relevant field such as Social Work, Public Administration, or Business Management highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in senior program management within community services, not-for-profit or government sectors, particularly in Emergency Relief or related crisis support services.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale government grants and compliance requirements, preferably Commonwealth funding agreements.
- Proven leadership and team management skills including management of professional staff and volunteer coordination.
- Advanced understanding of Emergency Relief sector, policy environment and funding frameworks including DSS policies and Data Exchange requirements
- Experience in operational planning, program implementation and organisational coordination.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement including government relationships and community partnerships.
- Strong financial management skills including budget preparation, financial reporting and resource allocation.
- Understanding of Catholic Social Teaching principles and experience in member-led or faith-based organisations with ability to engage effectively with Conference Members and volunteers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including high-level report writing and presentation skills.
- Experience in liaison with Conference structures and volunteer member engagement within Catholic or similar faith-based contexts.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and Working with Vulnerable People registration
- Current Queensland driver's licence
