Foodbank WA is looking for a Team Lead for their mobile services at the Perth branch. Team Lead is responsible for the safe handling and movement of food throughout our mobile site network and within Foodbank warehouse, wherever the location, throughout our state.

This role includes the overall safe operating responsibility and accountability of the transport and warehouse functions, including roles such as mobile driving, food collection and general warehouse duties as directed by the line manager.

Key responsibilities

Driving

Completes all necessary vehicle checks and cleans vehicle on a weekly basis; and

Ensures all faults are logged with the Line Manager and report hazards

You must ensure that we maintain appropriate records regarding HACCP, OH&S, COR and Food safe.

Ensure mobile vans arrive at sites on time and Volunteers represent the foodbank brand with integrity.

Stock Management

ensure that all stock in the vans is fit for purpose and that date code rotation is managed appropriately.

ensure that all stock replenishment and other housekeeping functions are completed in all vans Responsible for ensuring that our stock is presented appropriately in all vans

Prepare stock for daily mobile runs ensuring stock levels are adequate for each site.

Receives and accurately records donated stock and prepares stock for despatch to regional branches and remote agencies accurately recording weights.

Ensures that all stock (including fresh stock) in the vans is fit for purpose and that date code rotation is managed appropriately.

Performs some duties within a chilled environment including the freezer to pick orders.

Completes compliance checks to ensure adherence to HACCP and OH&S requirements.

Performs duties in accordance with relevant Occupational Health and Safety and Equal Opportunity Legislation.

Performs warehouse duties in the main warehouse or branch POS when required

Volunteer guidance

maintain a safe, constructive and effective working environment.

fostering excellent and safe operating standards.

Develop and maintain workflows and rosters for volunteers.

Induct volunteers as necessary.

Provide support for mobile drivers

Essential Criteria:

Experience and demonstrated ability in warehouse operations and store procedures.

Knowledge of OH&S procedures.

A current and valid HR driver’s license or willingness to obtain a HR license.

Current license to Perform High Risk Work (forklift).

Ability to work alone and in a group environment, especially with volunteer staff.

Ability to supervise and direct volunteer staff:

Capable of regular lifting.

Willing and confident using computers especially Microsoft products, emails and warehousing software.

Desirable Criteria:

Have a passion to make a difference in WA, within a Non-Profit Organisation.

Experience in wholesale environment operations.

Knowledge of and experience with Food safe Requirements.

Understanding of non-for-profit organisations and Community based Human Services Provision.
