This is a Recruitment Pool for Casual appointments into the 2026 WA Health Summer Internship Program.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments can be made from this pool until 30/12/2026.
About the Role
The Internship Program is a structured program for current university students. It runs for 15 weeks between the proposed dates of 9 February 2026 to 22 May 2026 (225 hours total at part-time) and provides an opportunity to get valuable experience within one of the largest government agencies in the state. During the program, you will be placed in a dedicated corporate team where you will be exposed to key projects, build professional networks, and undertake a tailored learning and development experience to help set you up for success.
The role is suitable to current university students from a range of academic backgrounds who are interested in the non-clinical side of the public health system. Such disciplines may include (but are not limited to) Public Health/Policy, Communications, Human Resources, Data Science, Business, and Science, but students undertaking studies in other disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
WA Health is committed to eliminating all forms of discrimination in the provision of our service. We embrace diversity and strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from culturally diverse backgrounds and people with disabilities.
Eligibility to Apply:
- Current enrolment in a tertiary qualification (Bachelor degree minimum). Applicants must still be currently enrolled in that course in the year that the internship program commences (i.e. still studying in 2026).
- Achievement of at least two years of full-time university study (or credit point equivalent) by the commencement of the program.
- Achievement of a minimum Weighted Average Mark of 65% and above for the tertiary qualification.
