About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Operations Coordinator to join our team. Working closely with the Managing Director and Operations Officer, you’ll help ensure our day-to-day operations run smoothly, our technicians are supported, and our customers receive the professional service they expect.
This role requires flexibility, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed. Regular travel across the Newcastle region is required, with occasional travel to the Hunter Valley and Sydney.
Candidates with business development skills will be highly regarded and rewarded with a generous commission structure.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee recruitment to support business growth.
Manage customer contracts, onboard new clients, and provide tailored support.
Conduct staff performance meetings and quality assurance inspections.
Facilitate employee onboarding, training, and development.
Review schedules, timesheets, and workflows to optimise efficiency.
Manage supplies, resolve operational issues, and provide solutions.
Foster strong client relationships, gather feedback, and promote company culture.
Generate leads, meet with prospects, and prepare quotes.
Assist with basic workshop repairs and general operational tasks.
Skills & Experience
Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office, GSuite, smartphones).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to anticipate client needs.
Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused.
Previous leadership or business management experience.
Ability to quickly build rapport and lead teams effectively.
Business development experience (highly desirable).
Valid driver’s licence (ability to tow a trailer preferred but not essential).
Prior experience in cleaning, grounds maintenance, or property services is an advantage, but not essential.
