Your new role:

As a Staff Specialist/Senior Staff Specialist in Cardiology, you will provide expert inpatient and outpatient care across Logan Hospital's Cardiology Department. You will also take on teaching, leadership, and research responsibilities within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver comprehensive cardiac care, including diagnostic and procedural services
• Provide consultative services to other medical and surgical teams
• Participate in ward rounds, on-call commitments, and patient management
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and students
• Contribute to research, audits, and continuous service improvement
• Lead within a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient-centred outcomes

About you:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate cardiologist who thrives in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting and is committed to advancing cardiac care.

You will demonstrate:

• Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (or equivalent)
• Specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA in Cardiology
• Proven ability in managing complex cardiology patients and procedures
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills to support junior staff
• Commitment to research, continuous improvement, and clinical excellence
• Effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, and teams

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
