High Risk Trainer & Assessor

Our client is looking for an experienced High Risk Trainer & Assessor to join a leading gold operation in the Pilbara region. With an upcoming ramp up, they require a trainer to assist with an anticipated influx of new people coming on board in the near future. This is a casual position, initially 3 months, with the view to become full time, working an 8/6 roster and ideally immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging company and site inductions
• Develop, implement, and maintain training manuals, standards, and procedures for plant and general operations
• Deliver and assess competency-based training across operational teams
• Conduct Training Needs Analyses and ensure compliance is met
• Assist with incident investigations, workplace inspections, and audits
• Liaise with external training providers as needed
• Maintain accurate training and safety records
• Support Mining and other operational teams with training needs

About You

You’re an approachable, safety-focused trainer with strong communication skills and proven experience in high-risk training within mining operations.

Qualifications:

• Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) essential
• Certificate IV in OHS – desirable
• Current Australian driver’s licence (HR preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ mining experience (machinery operations)
• High Risk training experience essentiaL
• Exposure to audits, investigations, and workplace inspections

High Risk Tickets:

• Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Basic Rigging, Non-Slewing Crane essential
• IT Loader, Telehandler, Excavator preferred

Competencies:

• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Solid knowledge of relevant Acts & Regulations
• Confident with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent time management and organisation
