About the role

We are seeking a highly capable Finance Manager to join our client in Shepparton, Victoria. This company is a long standing manufacturing business with a highly successful track record of supplying a wide range of equipment and services throughout Australia and overseas. This company is enjoying substantial growth, and has a solid pipeline of business ahead.

As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations and strategic direction of this company. This is a full-time position based at the Shepparton operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities for the company.

Develop and implement financial strategies to support the overall business objectives.

Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Provide insightful financial analysis to help inform key business decisions.

Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Manage the small finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development.

Collaborate with cross-functional departments to integrate financial considerations into all aspects of the business.

Ensure the company maintains a strong system of internal controls and risk management practices.

Background & Experience:

Proven track record of at least 10 years' experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and membership with a professional accounting body (CPA or CA).

Excellent financial management and reporting skills, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and motivate a team.

Strong commercial acumen and the ability to interpret financial data to support business decision-making.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to both financial and non-financial team members.

Importantly, we are looking for a candidate that has the capability and track record in working closely with all company team members, including shop floor, sales, operations and engineering.
