Are you passionate about supporting people through their most challenging times? Nova House is seeking dedicated Casual Welfare Workers to join our residential withdrawal team, providing life-changing support to individuals undergoing alcohol and drug withdrawal.
Located in beautiful Central Victoria, you'll work in a warm, homely residential environment where every day brings the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in someone's recovery journey.
🌱 What You'll Do
Support & Empower: Provide comprehensive care including assessment, care planning, and discharge support
Create Safe Spaces: Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and therapeutic living environment
Facilitate Growth: Run lifestyle programs, therapeutic groups, and educational sessions
Build Connections: Work alongside nurses, counsellors, and other health professionals
Make it Personal: Deliver culturally responsive, person-centered care that respects each individual's story
💼 What We're Looking For
Essential:
Certificate/Diploma in Community Services, Social Work or Psychology
Current First Aid & CPR certification
Flexibility to work rotating shifts (including evenings, nights & weekends)
Strong communication skills and genuine care for people
Working with Children Check
Current driver's licence
Desirable:
AOD core competencies
Residential withdrawal experience
