The role

JAE88 Trading is seeking an experienced Truck Driver- HC/Heavy Combination to join our team in Yatala, Queensland. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods across the state, ensuring on-time delivery to our valued customers. This is a full-time position offering competitive remuneration and a supportive, collaborative work environment.

What you'll be doing

Operate heavy combination (HC) vehicles such as semi-trailers, B-doubles, and road trains in a safe and compliant manner

Ensure the timely and secure delivery of freight to various destinations

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any issues

Adhere to all relevant road rules, transport regulations, and company policies and procedures

Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation as required

Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and colleagues

What we're looking for

A valid Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence

Extensive experience (at least 3 years) driving heavy combination vehicles

Maximum gap of 6 months in HC driving experience is acceptable

A strong commitment to safety and a proven track record of safe driving practices

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Effective communication and customer service skills

A team-oriented approach and the ability to work independently

A current dangerous goods endorsement (preferred but not essential)

Australian citizenship or permanent residency status
