MND Australia is the national peak body of state organisations that support those living with and impacted by motor neurone disease (MND). Since 1993, we have been the voice for the MND community. We work collaboratively with our member organisations, the state MND Associations, to inform, influence and raise awareness and understanding of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) at a national level through advancing research, advocacy and high-quality care for patients and carers to self-manage the disease, supported by specialist input.
About the Role
This position will support the more effective use of data and technology across the MND Australia’s activities including growing registrations and the use of the MiNDAUS Registry; support the Data, Innovation and Technology Committee; support the research funding program; and improvements in MND Australia’s operational activities. The position will work with MND Australia’s CEO and staff, the Data, Innovation and Technology Committee, State Associations and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
1. Manage the development of the MiNDAUS Registry including growing patient and clinical users, enhancement of functionality and improving the use of Registry data
2. Support increasing MND Australia’s advocacy, care and research activities through better use of data, technology and evidence
3. Advice and implementation support on the best use of technology within MND Australia
4. Consideration and advice on emerging technology use, ethical considerations and implications such as AI, machine learning, and data analytics
5. Advice and support to the Data, Innovation and Technology Committee.
About You
1. Experience and qualifications in data analytics and data use
2. Proven project management skills
3. Experience in working in the health sector, preferably with MND or neurological conditions
4. A ‘can do’ attitude and pragmatic approach to work
5. Proven interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and people with disabilities
Position Type
This is a fulltime contract position to 30 June 2027 (with possibility for extension), ideally based in Canberra, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
