About the role
Support the delivery of fire prevention programs that protect lives and property across Manningham. This hands-on role involves conducting inspections, engaging with the community, and helping ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
Skills and experience
- Strong communication skills – Ability to engage effectively with property owners, contractors, and Council staff, both verbally and in writing.
- Problem-solving and decision-making – Use technical knowledge and discretion to assess fire hazards and recommend appropriate actions.
- Organisational and time management – Plan tasks, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Technical proficiency – Comfortable using mobile data collection platforms such as ESRI Field Maps and TechnologyOne, with training provided.
- Teamwork and adaptability – Work collaboratively within a team and respond flexibly to changing operational needs.
- Relevant qualifications or experience – Completion or ongoing study in a related field, or demonstrated skills aligned with fire prevention and inspection duties.
