The School of Engineering has an excellent track record of rapid expansion and program diversification, whilst maintaining exceptional rigour and quality in the delivery of engineering programs at Bachelor, Masters, and PhD levels. About the Opportunity
The School of Engineering is seeking a dynamic and motivated School Officer to join our administration team. The primary role of the School Officer is to perform routine administrative and other support functions for the school. They are the first point of contact for enquiries related to the administration of the school and its staff. They also assist in many other tasks outside of their daily role to support the school’s operations. Each School Officer usually have a core job and predominant skill. They are expected to understudy other team members at the same and/or the next level for the purposes of training, ability to provide absence coverage, and to develop additional competencies required for further career development.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic fast paced environment, self-motivated, and enjoys collaborative and teamwork.

Selection Criteria
- Relevant qualification and work experience in a tertiary institution or similar environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to details, and deliver timely and accurate outcomes in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to professionally and empathetically to a broad range of stakeholders, including students, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Possess strong computer literacy skills demonstrated through ability to efficiently use a wide range of software and digital tools to support workplace productivity and communication.
- Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality administrative support across diverse areas such as finance, human resources, student services, and stakeholder liaison.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently, showing initiative, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to problem solving and supporting operational needs beyond routine duties.
