  • On offer is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the development of impactful programs and initiatives across NSW innovation precincts, driving the success of the NSW Innovation Blueprint
  • We are looking for a Senior Associate, Precinct Programming skilled in governance, procurement, project management, stakeholder management, risk management, quality control, and post-project analysis
  • Temporary full-time role up to August 2026 with the possibility to extend. Located in Martin Place, Sydney, Grade 9/10, package includes base salary ($129,464 - $142,665) plus superannuation (12%) and leave loading

About the Role

You will join our Precinct Development team within the Fostering Innovation branch in the Investment NSW group.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing interdependencies and balancing competing demands across various programs and initiatives, ensuring that all project objectives are met efficiently and effectively. You will communicate regularly with a broad range of stakeholders across industry, academia and government to ensure alignment around shared strategic objectives.

You will embed robust project and program management processes and systems that promote transparency, streamline workflows, and support the successful delivery of multiple project outcomes. Additionally, you will regularly monitor and evaluate the programs and services, ensuring they remain relevant, impactful, and aligned with the strategic goals of the NSW Innovation Blueprint.

Your efforts will directly contribute to the sustained growth and success of the innovation ecosystem in NSW.

We're Looking For

  • Strong Program Management Skills: Experience in managing complex programs, particularly in an innovation or startup environment along with strong analytical skills to assess and track project milestones and deliverables
  • Proven ability to affectively plan: Prioritise and manage multiple tasks or projects with competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated track record of making ethical decisions: acting with integrity in complex or challenging situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation abilities: Experience in communicating complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including stakeholders, teams, and senior management.
  • Customer-focused mindset: problem-solving, responsiveness, and ability to adapt to customer needs.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and interpersonal skills: Ability to work effectively across departments with proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, build strong relationships, and drive collective goals to success.
  • Critical thinking skills: Individuals with problem-solving, innovative approaches to challenges, and ability to make data-driven decisions.
