Azure Cloud Engineer:

The Azure Cloud Engineer - Azure Arc Specialist is responsible for managing and optimising cloud infrastructure and services in Microsoft Azure, with a particular focus on Azure Arc.

Key Responsibilities:
Azure Arc Management:

• Implement, configure, and manage Azure Arc to extend Azure management and governance across on-premises, multi-cloud, and edge environments.
• Integrate non-Azure resources with Azure services to enable unified management and monitoring.

Cloud Infrastructure Design and Management:

• Design and deploy scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure services.
• Manage and optimise Azure resources including virtual machines, storage accounts, and network configurations.

Hybrid Cloud Solutions:

• Develop and maintain hybrid cloud solutions that bridge on-premises data centres and Azure cloud environments.
• Ensure compatibility and seamless operation of Azure Arc with on-premises and other cloud platforms.

Automation and Scripting:

• Develop and manage automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and managing Azure resources using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to streamline deployments and configurations.

Monitoring and Optimisation:

• Utilise Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other tools to monitor performance, availability, and security of cloud resources.
• Analyse and optimise cloud resource usage to ensure cost-effectiveness and performance.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage identity and access controls using Azure Active Directory (AAD) and role-based access control (RBAC).

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical support for Azure and Azure Arc-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed documentation of Azure Arc configurations, deployments, and best practices.
• Prepare and present reports on cloud infrastructure performance, usage, and incident resolutions.
