About the Role

Waratah Respite Services is currently seeking a Part-Time (2 days per week) Clinical Care Manager to join our team in a job share role. The successful candidate will assist and support the Manager in the management of the 6 bed facility with emphasis on accountability for the clinical care provisions. This includes guiding the provision of clinical care for clients and supervision of staff in consultation with the Manager. The Clinical Care Manager will observe, assess and report on infection prevention and control, and assist with developing procedures addressing best practice.

Essential Competencies and Experience

Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.

Clinical competency in the delivery of nursing care.

Time, task and priority management.

Interpersonal skills (e.g. teamwork, active listening).

Written and oral communication skills.

Negotiation, decision-making and problem solving skills.

Computer literacy.

Assessment and documentation experience.

Possesses a current Provide First Aid and CPR Certificate or the capacity to obtain the required qualification within four (4) weeks of the commencement of duty.

Holds a current unrestricted Drivers Licence.

Has a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check.

Has received the current years Influenza vaccination and willingness to update on an annual basis

Has received minimum of 3 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccination

Desirable Competencies and Experience

Dementia Care Certificate or experience.

Human Resource experience.

Proven track record in understanding and meeting the requirements of accreditation.

Behaviour management skills.

Infection prevention and control (IPC) qualifications.
