About the Role
As the Manager Employment Services East Kimberley Region, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Kununurra, Wyndham, Warmun, and Kalumburu. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, culturally informed services that meet compliance obligations while helping individuals, families, and communities access meaningful employment pathways.
This executive role is part of the organisation’s leadership team, driving innovation, managing risk, and ensuring Job Pathways remains a trusted partner in the East Kimberley.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Oversee regional employment strategies and adapt to community needs
- Drive service quality, compliance, and improved outcomes
People & Performance
- Lead and support a diverse, dispersed team
- Build an inclusive, values-based culture and develop staff
Service & Compliance
- Deliver services to contract and quality standards
- Ensure compliance and embed continuous improvement
Stakeholder Engagement
- Strengthen partnerships with Aboriginal communities, employers, and government
- Advocate for regional priorities and represent Job Pathways externally
Governance & Risk
- Provide advice and reports to the CEO and Board
- Ensure strong governance, financial stewardship, and risk management
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Proven senior leadership in employment services, community development, or related sectors
- Demonstrated success in delivering outcomes within complex government contracts
- Strong track record in team leadership, HR management, and performance development
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated cultural competence working with Aboriginal communities
Preferred:
- Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Community Development, or related field
- Knowledge of East Kimberley labour market trends and regional development
What You’ll Need
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence (essential)
- Ability to travel regularly across the region, including overnight stays
- National Police Clearance (required prior to commencement)
