Locum Mental Health Clinician - CYMHS (Child & Youth) | Regional QLD | ASAP until 11/01/26

$70-$80 per hour + Free Accommodation + $400 Travel Reimbursement (each way)

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Locum Mental Health Clinician to join the Child & Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Regional QLD. Located about 200km inland from the coast, this thriving community is known for its strong sense of mateship and welcoming atmosphere. With modern amenities, sporting clubs, cafés, and access to beautiful national parks, you'll enjoy the perfect mix of regional living and lifestyle convenience.

You'll be providing intake, assessment, treatment, and case management for young people and families experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues. Working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Isaac region.

Mandatory Experience

• Social Worker, Registered Psychologist OR Mental Health Accredited OT
• Relevant tertiary degree plus AHPRA or AASW registration
• CYMHS experience - supporting children, adolescents, and families
• Strong background in mental health assessment & case management
• Triage experience in mental health settings

Desirable Experience

• AOD (Alcohol & Other Drugs) case management
• Familiarity with QLD Health systems: CIMHA, ATODS-IS, ieMR
• Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016
• Previous experience within QLD Health or regional settings

Mandatory Competencies

• BLS competency
• Manual/patient handling
• Infection control
• Aggressive behaviour management
• Mandatory reporting requirements for clinicians
