Position Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the engineering consulting sector. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully managing and closing projects, coupled with a strong aptitude for cultivating and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities:

Business Development: Responsible for effectively sourcing, negotiating, and facilitating new business.

Proposal and Contract Management: Creating and delivering proposals inclusive of scope, fees, and qualifications for public and client RFPs.

Project Oversight: Assembling and guiding a team of RWDI consultants toward meeting project objectives by overseeing the preparation of documentation developed by the technical team.

Project Performance: Accountable for project performance, on-time and quality delivery, and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.

Financial Management: Manage financial activities of the project including tracking revenue, issuing invoices, and recovering receivables.

Quality Assurance: Ensuring that Quality Assurances are completed, recorded, and meet company standards and project scope.

Innovation: Track industry developments and innovations to ensure that RWDI continuously delivers relevant services and new and innovative deliverables.

Proactive Market Engagement: Actively identify and engage with new markets, clients, and strategic opportunities to expand RWDI’s service lines.

Sales Pipeline Ownership: Take ownership of the sales pipeline by generating leads, qualifying prospects, and converting opportunities into secured projects through targeted outreach and strategic relationship building.

Strategic Networking: Leverage industry contacts, attend key conferences, and participate in networking events to uncover business opportunities and position RWDI as a preferred partner for engineering consulting services.

Client-Centric Solution Development: Collaborate closely with prospective clients to understand their unique challenges and develop customized, value-driven solutions that align with RWDI’s technical capabilities and sustainability vision.

Qualifications (If you possess 80% of the qualifications listed, please apply since you may have additional skills that would align well with this role):

Proven experience in business development and project management within the engineering consulting sector.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Understanding of building design and construction process, codes, standards, and protocols.

Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Ability to communicate technical concepts to clients effectively.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Willingness to travel as needed.
