My client is a progressive and growing mid-tier accounting firm in CBD. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Business Services division. The management team have derived their experience from the global practices in Australia and currently work with various client groups including global scalable start-ups, SMEs, investment funds, family groups and multinationals.

Reporting directly to a Manager, you will be providing compliance and consulting services to clients across various client groups/industries. Your responsibilities will range from;

Completion and review of tax returns and financial statements for all entities

Preparation of BAS and FBT returns

Tax and financial reporting consolidations

Identify and calculate Div7a

Assist Manager with tax planning and business structuring advice

Process improvement for the business and clients

Mentoring and reviewing work of junior staff

Assist with workflow meetings and team supervision

Liaison with clients, government bodies and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate:

4+ years' experience or more in public practice accounting

CA/CPA qualified

Professional and committed attitude

Proactive and strong work ethic

Excellent communication skills due to the client facing nature of role
