Digital Canberra is seeking applications to fulfil two Program Support Officer roles with the Major Programs Branch.
The Program Support Officer supports program delivery, providing administrative and governance support. The Program Support Officer will provide responsive and quality advice, timely coordination of information, contribute to the development of reports, and briefings and work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
What You Will Do:
- Support the program with the delivery of program, under the direction of project/program managers, in accordance with the Digital Canberra delivery frameworks, processes and tools to ensure deliverables are completed within the agreed baseline and that the expected stakeholder outcomes are achieved.
- Provide Governance, Risk and Compliance support to the multi-disciplinary teams working on the allocated projects ensuring processes and tools are used effectively and the team is successful in their objectives.
- Establish and build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective engagement and communication.
- Assist with the identification of risks and issues ensuring that they are assessed and reported accurately and when needed, enacted, and monitored.
- Develop and maintain essential artefacts, including but not limited to: Integrated Master Schedule, Program Registers, Program Deliverables, Progress Reports and Project Risk, Issue, Action, Change Requests, Decision and Dependency (RAIDD) logs.
- Perform a diverse range of work across Major Programs branch and the program.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of the Governance, Risk and Compliance elements within the delivery of projects and programs, in an ICT or digital setting.
- Tertiary level qualifications and/or certification (or working towards) in Project Management are desirable. These include one or more of: Diploma of Project Management, PRINCE2 Foundations, PRINCE2 Agile Foundations.
Behavioural Capabilities
- Delivery of Governance, Risk and Compliance activities, providing support to projects and/or supporting projects and programs of work to achieve the best outcomes for Digital Canberra, its stakeholders and the citizens of the ACT and surrounding region.
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communications skills, including the ability to write for a range of government audiences, present information concisely and deliver high quality documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately analyse and assess information to draft project management artefacts.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances and multiple priorities and demands, including the ability to deliver under tight timeframes.
- Demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service.
Compliance Requirements / Qualifications
- A current ACT Government CMTEDD issued Personnel Vetting Program certificate (Baseline clearance equivalent) is required for this position, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
- This position does not require a pre-employment medical.
- This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
- The position is based in the ACT.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension up to a further 12 months and/or permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
This position will be based at an activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
Flexible Working/Hybrid Options: Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home and designated office based.
