About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Bushland Beach Pharmacy in Bushland Beach, QLD. This is a full-time position, with negotiable hours, as we are open early and close late on weekdays, providing you with the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our pharmacy.

Job Responsibilities

Work within a team environment to assist in the delivery of pharmacy services

Provide excellent customer service to our patients

Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels

Handle prescriptions appropriately

Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and general office duties

Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and adheres to all relevant standards

This role reports firstly to the Retail Manager

Skills and Experience

Previous retail and customer service experience (experience working as a Pharmacy Assistant desirable, but not necessary)

S2/S3 certificate and/or Certificate II or III in Community Pharmacy highly regarded, but not required – full training will be provided to the right candidate

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately, efficiently and autonomously as the situation requires

A genuine interest in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, and a desire to develop skills and knowledge in this area

Proficient in using computer systems and software applications

EFTPOS, Point-of-Sale and cash handling experience essential

A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
