Roster: 2 on 1 off (camp accommodation provided)

Green Acres Group QLD are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Fitter to join their team in an onsite role based in the Surat Basin QLD. Green Acres Group offer both wet and dry hire of its fleet servicing the Energy, Mining and Civil Construction sectors. In addition to Plant Hire, Green Acres Group also provides large scale revegetation, rehabilitation and dust suppression services.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with Kenworth, Cummins, Volvo, CAT and Hitachi machinery and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key responsibilities:

· Perform servicing, maintenance, and breakdown repairs on site and in Chinchilla workshop

· Work on a large fleet consisting of heavy and articulated vehicles including prime movers, dump trucks, watercarts, earthmoving equipment including excavators, graders, D11 dozers, D10 dozers

Essential Skills:

· Technical proficiency – Strong knowledge of diesel engines, heavy equipment, and associated systems

· Ability to run diagnostic tests to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues in diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems and other components

· Identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues

· Perform necessary repairs and replacements on various systems, including engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and lighting

· Carry out preventative maintenance via routine checks, servicing and maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal vehicle performance

· Prepare work orders, document repairs, and order necessary parts and inventory

· Effectively communicate with technicians, manufacturers, and management regarding repairs and parts

· Have the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment

The successful applicant must have:

· Mechanical Trade Qualification (Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)

· Minimum experience of 5 years

· General Construction Induction Training (White Card)

· Minimum HR licence

· Full Australian working rights

· Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening

· Proven experience with references
